When, in the mid-1880s, Pascual Toso Argentina undertook the journey from his hometown of Canale d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy, could not imagine who would become the founder of a winery, which is currently one of of the oldest and most prestigious in Argentina. Arriving in Argentina, he settled in Mendoza. As he had been closely involved in the development of wine with his family in Piedmont, immediately saw the promising future of the region for winemaking and decided to use their expertise.
